Comfort

In selecting a hotel for your trip, a key consideration must be comfort.  Each of our guest rooms and suites has been designed to provide you with as much comfort and convenience as possible.  Every bed in the Edison Walthall Hotel is of the highest quality, custom made to our specifications with extra padding and stronger springs to provide you with what will potentially be the most pleasant night's rest you have ever had. Bath linens are 100% cotton, and the pillows are down, not foam or feather. (Synthetic pillows are available on request) The heating and cooling is delivered by an efficient and powerful central system that quickly and extremely quietly maintains the temperature of guest rooms. The hotel has gone an extra step by adding a component that brings in fresh, filtered air from outside to keep the guest rooms even more comfortable.

Convenience

The weary business traveler has special needs, and rooms have been specifically designed to accommodate them.  Many of the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves for a late night snack after work, and a sitting area to conduct your business or for informal meetings.  The brand new City Suites are outfitted with a full kitchen and dining area, and have an oversized desk with plenty of work space to spread out documents.  Every room in the hotel has at least two telephones, with one in the bathroom, and a telephone with data port. Forty three channels of television are available in the guest rooms, with many of the 24-hour news, sports, and weather channels.

Cleanliness

The Edison Walthall Hotel is known for its meticulous attention to detail, especially when it comes to the maintenance of guest rooms.  The housekeeping staff follows a twelve step process of cleaning and inspection before a room is deemed acceptable for use. The state of the art laundry system at the hotel is one of the best in the industry. Computer controls meter and automatically add detergent and sanitizing chemicals to the wash, and maintain water temperature to the degree.  This system efficiently and thoroughly sanitizes all linens used at the hotel. And those sanitized linens are put to good use. When your bed is made each morning, the housekeeping staff uses three sheets, not two.  Doing this takes the housekeeper a few extra minutes, but it allows for a higher level of cleanliness and comfort than what you would find in an ordinary hotel.
